Miss Rwanda the On and Off Beauty Pageant

Aurore Kayibanda Mutesi was crowned Miss Rwanda in 2012. 

Miss Rwanda was founded in 2009 by MINISPOC in Rwanda. Miss Rwanda is a cultural event, and they see it as fitting within their social cooperate responsibilities, the pageant was sponsored by Rwandatel. Miss Rwanda will ensure that the winner adheres to the set rules and behaves in a manner acceptable of beauty queens, to make certain that the institution of Miss Rwanda is respected. The 1st edition Miss Rwanda 2009 was held on December 19th, 2009 and Grace Bahati was made a history to become Miss Rwanda. In 2013 Miss Rwanda was debuted to compete at Miss Supranational with Aurore Mutesi Kayiranga and she was unplaced.

Grace Bahati proceeded to USA to continue her studies after her riegn but prior to that she got pregnant during her reign and dealt with public criticism. After the first ever Miss Rwanda pageant in 2009, it took 3 years to embark on another pageant which happened in 2012. Aurore Mutesi Kayibanda was crowned in September 2012. It was her job to revive the glory of Miss Rwanda as a formidable figure in society. Her reign was fruitful for she had done a lot of charity works and activities. She was also sent to Miss Supranational to compete.

Another 2 years passed to crown the next Miss Rwanda wherein in February 2014, Colombe Akiwacu was crowned.

If it's a battle of wit and credentials, Jerelleen Rodriguez will easily snatch the main crown or any of the titles.

She will surely leave you at awe with what she has to offer. This lass from Nasugbu, Batangas is a Cum laude graduate with a degree in BS Business Administration and Accountancy from the UP Diliman and a Certified Public Accountant who placed sixth in the October 2013 CPA board licensure examination. She is also a Professor at the University of the Philippines - Diliman for the Department of Accounting and Finance while studying law at the UP College of Law.

Aside from all of these, she is also a member of the National Union of People’s Lawyers, a Chief Finance Officer, MGC Holdings, Inc., an angel investment hub and an education advocate.

Aren't these enough for her to win any of the crowns?

She only has not the gift of gab and wit but of beauty as well.

Miss Venezuela Pageant Suspended Amid Prostitution and Corruption Scandal

The organization behind Miss Venezuela’s iconic beauty pageant is under investigation for possible misconduct of its contestants following claims of prostitution and corruption throughout the organization.
Former Miss Venezuela contestants, posted on social media insinuating other contestants had romantic relationships with corrupt businessmen and officials.
"Given the events recently described on social media ... a decision has been made to begin an internal review to determine if anyone linked (to the pageant), during the course of their involvement, violated the values and ethics of the contest," the Miss Venezuela Organization said in a statement.
Miss Venezuela is owned by the wealthy Venezuelan Cisneros family.
