"Confidence is Silent, Insecurities are Loud"

To be Mister United Continents Philippines 2016, I know it will never be an easy task. Winning this title means acquiring great confidence and responsibility. If I am to win the Mister United Continents Philippines 2016 probably the first step that I would make is to coordinate with the government and NGOs to help them with the re-branding of the Philippines and help with the promotion of our Eco-tourism. And come with better visual communication and strategic Eco-tourism marketing. By doing this, it could be the start of the transition in changing on how the world perceives us-- Filipino and The Philippines.

Tell us a little about yourself, your family background, education?

I'm Chuck Orillaneda, a pure Cebuano, been raised in the heart of the metropolis like my parents were, second among the four siblings. It's a challenge for me to be tasked to stand as the alpha in our house since my father works abroad.

I've been a consistent and competent student during my college days especially when it comes to design and advertisement. I took up Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising Arts in one of the well-known Universities here in Cebu and graduated a couple of years ago.

Currently, I am working as a Graphic Designer at International Pharmaceuticals Inc., (IPI), I also work as a Creative Director and ramp models on weekends.

How did you become interested in pageants?

It never really crossed in my mind that one day I'll be joining a national male pageant. Until I and my co-models had fun filling in the online application form of Mister United Continents Philippines 2016. Also my best friend who just won a national title, keeps on pushing me to do so. He's the one who rings the bill in me, motivated and encouraged me to grab this once in a  life time opportunity to represent our city/province.

How does it feel to represent Cebu in Mister United Continents Philippines 2016?

It's kind of overwhelming and at the same time a lot of pressure, knowing that two of the representatives from the Visayas last year won. But who knows I might have the same fate.

Give three adjectives that your friends would use to describe you.

Reserved, Creative, Optimistic.

Tell us about one life-changing experience in your life.

When I and my family became born again Christians and found the real God which is Jesus Christ who's always there for us.

Name three things that you would never do.

Cut my finger with cutter blade again, won't speak "tagalog" for a day, and to have a tattoo I guess.

What do you like to do for fun?

Do out door adventures such as traveling, biking, trekking and swimming of course not to forget "videoke" on the list, I do this to stretch out my throat thinking it could somehow avoid tonsillitis, hahaha.

Tell us a little bit about Cebu city.

It is known as "The Queen City of the South" and "The Mother of all Philippine Festivals". I can compare Cebu to a Cornucopia, a bucket full of choices that offer most what is on your list. It's a compacted place that is not only rich in culture, heritage and destination. Thus, it caters a distinctive form of entertainment, experience, adventure and a lot more.

How will you motivate others to practice sustainable living choices?

Motivating others to practice a sustainable lifestyle takes a lifelong commitment – to learning, experimenting, exploring, committing to increasingly sustainable practices and, above all, loving. We can always start on small things. For example, by making trash bins look more attractive and interactive, like hang it a bit and let people shot their garbage just like playing basketball or maybe draw a maze on the ground before reaching the trash bin.

How would you describe your advocacy to the judges?

My Advocacy focuses more on what and who were left behind despite all the hindrances that we are facing. It is time for us to look back and somehow put an attention to them, the other living creatures who is living with us in this planet. If we--human beings suffered from man made environmental problems how much more these creatures?

Boxers or Briefs?

Brief, because it's tight and secure. But I would prefer boxer brief, it's what I usually wear. teehee.

Blue or Pink?

Blue, it signifies trust and loyalty. But if I were to prefer any other colors or any blue related color I would choose turquoise, more on pastel colors.

Piolo Pascual or Derek Ramsay?

None, don't know them that much. But if I would really have to choose, It would be Derek since he's cool.

Anne Curtis or Angel Locsin?

Anne, because she has her own uniqueness and has sense of humor which comes out naturally making her look more hot. Alright!. :]

Message to your supporters, friends and family?

Family, friends and supporters. This is it, I won't consider this pageant as a competition but rather a life-time experience that we will share. Though we know that this won't be an easy fight, but I won't go to the battlefield alone because I know that I have you guys. Your support is my strength, your love is my confidence, your prayers, is my perseverance and endurance. Let us walk together to the road of victory. I thank you with all the kinds of love in the world.
