Maria Medina and Kylie Verzosa crowned Bb. Pilipinas Universe and Bb. Pilipinas International

Forty candidates competed for the titles at stakes but only 6 ladies were lucky enough to be shouting Philippines internationally!

Maria Maxine Medina, 25 from Quezon City was crowned Bb. Pilipinas 2016. She also won Miss Philippines Airlines award. This not Maxine's first time to join Bb. Pilipinas, she was an official candidate in 2012 but due to conflict of contract she was disqualified. But Maxine didn't stop from reaching her dream winning the top plum of Bb. Pilipinas. Maxine beat two gorgeous and heavy front runners, Kylie Verzosa and Nichole Manalo.

While Kylie Verzosa delivered well more on stage went home winning the Bb. Pilipinas International crown, she was also awarded Miss Photogenic, Miss Manila Bulletin and Miss Jag.

A UP Professor eyes to be Miss World Philippines 2018

If it's a battle of wit and credentials, Jerelleen Rodriguez will easily snatch the main crown or any of the titles.

She will surely leave you at awe with what she has to offer. This lass from Nasugbu, Batangas is a Cum laude graduate with a degree in BS Business Administration and Accountancy from the UP Diliman and a Certified Public Accountant who placed sixth in the October 2013 CPA board licensure examination. She is also a Professor at the University of the Philippines - Diliman for the Department of Accounting and Finance while studying law at the UP College of Law.



Aside from all of these, she is also a member of the National Union of People’s Lawyers, a Chief Finance Officer, MGC Holdings, Inc., an angel investment hub and an education advocate.


Aren't these enough for her to win any of the crowns?

She only has not the gift of gab and wit but of beauty as well.

Igorota Queen's vying for the World

A 22 year-old Communication graduate from the University of Baguio hopes to be Miss World Philippines 2018.


Joemay Leo, an Igorota Queen from Tuba, Benguet made it to the official list of candidates of  this year's Miss World Philippines.

Leo doesn't have the drive in joining pageants when she was  younger not until she was chosen  to represent the high school department  for Miss University of Baguio 2011 which she later won. At 15, she had her first crown and the passion to join pageants was born where she reaped; Miss Tuba 2014, Miss Benguet 2014 first runner-up, Miss Baguio 2015 third runner-up and Miss Cordillera 2016.


She was an active student leader when she was still studying. In fact, she was awarded AY Foundation National Discipline awardee, JCI Youth Leadership Excellence awardee, Gerry Roxas Leadership awardee. Currently, she is serving as an SK Kagawad of her barangay.
