Miss World 2015, Mireia Lalaguna graced the finals of Femina Miss India 2016

“Mumbai is an exciting city to visit, and I wish I had more time to explore. I guess it is part of the job, the opportunity to visit so many places around the world, but not enough time to know everything... I will have to come back!” said Mireia after her first day in the city.



Reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna was in India over the weekend where she was reunited with India’s 2015 contender Aditi Arya and witnessed the coronation of Femina Miss India 2016.

Landing in Mumbai just before the weekend, Miss World had the chance to sample some of the delights of Indian culture before heading to the Yashraj Studios for the 53rd edition of the Femina Miss India finals, where she was on the jury!

Delhi based Priyadarshini Chatterjee crowned Femina Miss India 2016.

When it came to the big night, Delhi born Priyadarshini Chatterjee was proclaimed as Femina Miss India 2016, with the announcement handled by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.



Speaking to the winner, Miss World said “Congratulations to Priyadarshini! She was an amazing contestant and I wish her all the success at Miss World later this year!”

Mireia will be travelling to Los Angeles later this week, where she will be representing Beauty with a Purpose at the Round Up charity music festival!

If it's a battle of wit and credentials, Jerelleen Rodriguez will easily snatch the main crown or any of the titles.

She will surely leave you at awe with what she has to offer. This lass from Nasugbu, Batangas is a Cum laude graduate with a degree in BS Business Administration and Accountancy from the UP Diliman and a Certified Public Accountant who placed sixth in the October 2013 CPA board licensure examination. She is also a Professor at the University of the Philippines - Diliman for the Department of Accounting and Finance while studying law at the UP College of Law.



Aside from all of these, she is also a member of the National Union of People’s Lawyers, a Chief Finance Officer, MGC Holdings, Inc., an angel investment hub and an education advocate.


Aren't these enough for her to win any of the crowns?

Igorota Queen's vying for the World

A 22 year-old Communication graduate from the University of Baguio hopes to be Miss World Philippines 2018.


Joemay Leo, an Igorota Queen from Tuba, Benguet made it to the official list of candidates of  this year's Miss World Philippines.

Leo doesn't have the drive in joining pageants when she was  younger not until she was chosen  to represent the high school department  for Miss University of Baguio 2011 which she later won. At 15, she had her first crown and the passion to join pageants was born where she reaped; Miss Tuba 2014, Miss Benguet 2014 first runner-up, Miss Baguio 2015 third runner-up and Miss Cordillera 2016.


She was an active student leader when she was still studying. In fact, she was awarded AY Foundation National Discipline awardee, JCI Youth Leadership Excellence awardee, Gerry Roxas Leadership awardee. Currently, she is serving as an SK Kagawad of her barangay.
