Miss Pearl of the Philippines 2016 beauties in a Grand Santacruzan

May is the month of flowers and fiestas in the Philippines. It is also the celebration month of the Filipinos dedicate to the blessed Virgin Mary. Last Saturday, May 7, the beauties of Miss Pearl of the Philippines 2016 candidates paraded along Greenhills in San Juan City, Manila.

Bb. Pilipinas 2008 runner-up ( which later took over the Bb. Pilipinas World 2008 crown ), Danielle Castano graced the said cultural procession.

The santacruzan is considered as the Queen of Filipino Festivals. An iconic religious Filipino tradition, the Santacruzan commemorates the search of the Holy Cross by Reyna Elena and her son, Emperor Constantine. It is this festive thanksgiving of finding the Holy Cross in Jerusalem that is replicated all over the country in the fiesta month of May.

A fashion show was held afterwards at the OB Montessori, GreenHills San Juan. The 31 lovely candidates of Miss Pearl of the Philippines showcased their elegance and glamour wearing the traditional Filipinaña costumes intricately designed by the some of the famous and great Philippine designers. Best Designer was awarded at the end of the event to Cathy Mora - Capistrano.

The finals of the inaguaral Miss Pearl of the Philippines search will be held on May 14, 2016 at the RCBC Plaza in Makati, while the talent and pre-pageant competition will be on the 10th of May which will be held at St. Jude College, Manila.

This lass from Nasugbu, Batangas is a Cum laude graduate with a degree in BS Business Administration and Accountancy from the UP Diliman and a Certified Public Accountant who placed sixth in the October 2013 CPA board licensure examination. She is also a Professor at the University of the Philippines - Diliman for the Department of Accounting and Finance while studying law at the UP College of Law.

Aside from all of these, she is also a member of the National Union of People’s Lawyers, a Chief Finance Officer, MGC Holdings, Inc., an angel investment hub and an education advocate.

Aren't these enough for her to win any of the crowns?

She only has not the gift of gab and wit but of beauty as well.
