Send-off to Manaus, Brazil for Mr. Golden Universe Philippines 2016 Jay Daniel Chuong

Reigning Mr. Golden Universe Philippines titleholder, Jay Daniel Chuong is set to leave for Brazil to comptete in the Mr. Golden Universe pageant - the finals of which is slated on May 24-29, 2016. This is the pageant's 2nd year and features contestants from all over the globe.

Chuong, a 23-year old mountaineer and model from Davao City has been active in his environmental advocacy, he is a member of the Sagip Kagubatan corp., since 2009. Chuong, aims to win the Mr. Golden Universe 2016 title.

"Thank you MUCP Org., for trusting and giving me the oppurtunity to represent our country in an international pageant," he said.

Mr. Golden Universe Philippines 2016 Jay Daniel Chuong is all smile as he faces the members of the press during his send-off party held last May 19, 2016 at the Jardin Garden, Remington Hotel in Pasay City. He answers questions coming from them too.

"I think, Brazil is my greatest competitor If I were to base from the photos online, but I will do my best to make you proud of me." Chuong said when asked who is his greatest competitor.

Right after he was declared as Mr. Golden Universe Philippines 2016, he went on to learn the language of the country he will be sent to. He now knows the basic of Spanish and Portuguese. He had catwalk, personality development and physical fitness trainings as well, as part of his preparation for the competition.


Mister United Continents Philippines 2016 semifinalist Joeser Sinfuego and Mr. Real Universe Philippines 2016 Verge Llego were among in attendance of the said event. They also gave their message of support to Mr. Golden Universe 2016 Jay Daniel Chuong.

Chuong is the first winner of MUCP to compete abroad. Last year, MUCP winners were among the semifinalists in their international pageants.

This year's winners aim to duplicate or even surpass the success of last year's winners.

A UP Professor eyes to be Miss World Philippines 2018

If it's a battle of wit and credentials, Jerelleen Rodriguez will easily snatch the main crown or any of the titles.

She will surely leave you at awe with what she has to offer. This lass from Nasugbu, Batangas is a Cum laude graduate with a degree in BS Business Administration and Accountancy from the UP Diliman and a Certified Public Accountant who placed sixth in the October 2013 CPA board licensure examination. She is also a Professor at the University of the Philippines - Diliman for the Department of Accounting and Finance while studying law at the UP College of Law.



Aside from all of these, she is also a member of the National Union of People’s Lawyers, a Chief Finance Officer, MGC Holdings, Inc., an angel investment hub and an education advocate.


Aren't these enough for her to win any of the crowns?
