Ta'alin Abu Hanna takes Crown in Israel's First Transgender Beauty Pageant



12 equally beautiful trans were the finalists aimed to be the first ever "Miss Trans Israel." They spent long hours of training over a week to perfect their routines.

Ta'alin Abu Hanna, an Israel Arab from Nazareth won the crown last Friday night, in an event that brought together contestants from the Holy Land's three main faiths on Friday in an unconventional show of tolerance and coexistence.

Hanna will be Israel's representative to the Miss Trans Star International pageant in Barcelona, Spain in September. Hanna said that Israel deserves to come out on top.

"Our country allowed me, a Christian Arab from Nazareth, to end the war between my soul and my body. So if it made peace for me, our country is only a country of peace," she added.

Hannah, will receive a $15,000 package of plastic surgery treatments from the Kamol Cosmetic Hospital in Bangkok, including airfare and a hotel stay during recovery.
