In Photos: Miss and Mr World visited Tuloy Foundation

Miss World Mireia Lalaguna and Mr World Rohit Khandelwal began their visit to the Philippines with a joyful trip to the Tuloy Foundation. Accompanying them was Megan Young and Miss World Philippines Director Cory Quirino.


Mireia shares how important the well-being of children is to her!


Rohit emphasizes this when he speaks about the children’s positivity & energy:“As a proud Indian we celebrate and dance and that’s the same vibe I’m feeling with these wonderful kids at the Tuloy Foundation. Father Rocky is an absolute humble soul. What he’s done for these kids, is what humanity needs today.” Steve Douglas gave words of encouragement to maintain the positive ethos:"We are all beautiful. Be the best you can be. Be an inspiration to the other kids in the whole world."

Tuloy Foundation is a safe environment that houses children who would otherwise suffer a life of poverty and crime on the streets of Manila. The Foundation has developed tremendously in the past 19 years, serving more than 10,000 children in need. It is now a 4.5-hectare village nurturing 900 children.

Miss Venezuela Pageant Suspended Amid Prostitution and Corruption Scandal

The organization behind Miss Venezuela’s iconic beauty pageant is under investigation for possible misconduct of its contestants following claims of prostitution and corruption throughout the organization.
Former Miss Venezuela contestants, posted on social media insinuating other contestants had romantic relationships with corrupt businessmen and officials.
"Given the events recently described on social media ... a decision has been made to begin an internal review to determine if anyone linked (to the pageant), during the course of their involvement, violated the values and ethics of the contest," the Miss Venezuela Organization said in a statement.
Miss Venezuela is owned by the wealthy Venezuelan Cisneros family.
