Russia wins the inaugural World Miss Tourism Ambassador


The inaugural World Miss Tourism Ambassador was held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Forty-three lovely ladies from all around the world competed for the title. The winner was crowned by Miss Globe 2017 Khanh Ngan of Vietnam. The advocacy of the pageant focuses on promoting culture and tourism with the tagline "Beauty with a Mission."


Russia's Aidbedullina Talliya stood out among the forty-three candidates and brought home the first ever World Miss Toursim Ambassador title. While Vietnam's Lien Phuong was crowned Miss Eco Tourism; Chile's Francisca Ceballos, Miss Culture Tourism; Germany's Johanna Acs, Miss Ocean Tourism; South Africa's Talitha Bothma, Miss Fashion Tourism.

Special awards were given to; France, Miss Congeniality; Lithuania, Miss Bikini; India, Best in Talent, Mongolia, Best Tourism Video.

Making it to top 11 were the delegates from; Thailand, ASIA USA, Lithuania, Moscow Russia, Philippines and India.

While Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Italy, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Laguna Philippines, France, Kenya and Japan completed the top 21 semi-finalists.

Mikayla Holmgren competes in Miss Minnesota state pageant


In 2015, Mikayla Holmgren participated in the Junior Miss Amazing competition and took home the crown. The said pageant is for persons with disabilities. When she approached her mom, Sandi Holmgren, about entering the 2017 Miss Minnesota USA pageant, her mom said yes. At the time, Sandi had no idea what Mikayla joined, according to report on Today. 

“I just loved this day,” Mikayla told TODAY. “I was on that stage and they called my name, I was in tears. I was very emotional.”

“It didn’t really hit me that it was the Miss USA, Miss Universe pageant. There are so many pageants,” Sandi told TODAY“She chose the pageants of pageants and I got nervous.”



When Mikayla walked on the Miss Minnesota stage during the pageant finals, she just accomplished something important ehich is the first ever woman with down syndrome to compete in the Miss Minnesota USA state pageant. 

“I was not nervous,” she said, about preparing for the pageant.

She practiced walking in heels without tripping and participated in mock interviews. While she enjoyed making new friends, dressing up and performing on stage, Mikayla hoped to set an example for others.

“I want others to believe in themselves,” she said.

Mikayla, who is studying at Bethel University, loved her experience and hopes to do more because she now considers herself a “pageant lady.” She believes her performance will inspire others.

“It is making a difference in the world,” she said.

While Mikayla Holgrem didn't win the Miss Minnesota 2017 crown, she took home two awards, the Spirit of Miss USA and the Director's Award.

Venezuela's Gabriel Correa wins Mister Supranational 2017


The 2nd edition of Mister Supranational took place in Krynica Zdroj, Poland, on December 2nd, where Mexico's Diego Garcy turned over the title to his successor.

Gabriel Correa, a 28-year-old, actor from Venezuela took home the Mister Supranational 2017 title with $12,000 USD cash prize.

The 1st runner-up was Spain's Alejandro Cifo Capilla, 2nd runner-up is Brazil's Matheus Song,
Slovakia's Michal Gajdosech, and Mexico's Hector Javier Parga were the 3rd and 4th runners-up, respectively.



Semi-finalists were  Malta, Justin Axiak, also awarded as Mister Supranational Europe, India, Altamash Faraz, awarded as Mister Supranational Asia and Oceania, United States, Cody Ondrick, awarded as Mister Supranational Americas, Poland,Jan Dratwicki, Indonesia, Gilbert Pangalila . Indonesia was the winner of the Vodi Fan Vote.

Among the 20 quarter-finalists were Chile, Romania, Puerto Rico, Japan, Suriname, Panama,  Afghanistan, Myanmar, Netherlands, and Philippines.


Special prizes were given to Spain, Mister Photogenic, chosen by photographer Leonardo Rodrigues; India, Mister Elegance; Canada, Mister Personality; Slovakia, Best Body; Indonesia Vodi Fan Choice; Bolivia, Mister Friendship; Brazil, Top Model;and Romania, Social Media.

Koreas Jenny Kim wins Miss Supranational 2017



The Miss Supranational 2017 is the 9th edition of Miss Supranational beauty pageant, which will be held at Krynica Zdroj, Poland. Its new winner was crowned on Friday, December 1, 2017. Srinidhi Shetty of India crowned her successor.

63 stunning ladies from all over the world competed for the coveted Miss Supranational 2017 title.

Miss Supranational winner will fulfill her duties working for charitable causes, promoting tourism, goodwill among all nations and a healthy image.



Korea's Jenny Kim who represented her country last January during the 65th edition of the Miss Universe pageant took home tghe 2017 Miss Supranational crown. She's the first ever korean to win an international beauty pageant. Her runners-up were; Colombia, first runner-up, Romania, second runner-up, Ethiopia and Puerto Rico, third and fourth runners-up, respectively.




Make it to top 10 were; Colombia, Ethiopia, Korea, Poland, Romania, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Portugal, Costa Rica
