Bb. Pilipinas 2018: The Crown Contenders and Runners -Up

This year's Bb. Pilipinas pageant has one of the stongest candidates and it won't be a surprise if the major front-runners will be crowned on Sunday, March 18, 2018.

The pressure will surely be on to continue the winning streak of the Philippines internationally especially in Miss Universe. Who are the rightful crown contenders and have the chance to win internationally?

Top 25 | Honorable Mention

Sherry Tormes, Agatha Romero, Patricia Asturias, Loren Artajos, Sarah Joson, Mj De Castro,  Angelica Corbe,  Edjelyn Gamboa and Rosantonette Mendoza. These ladies could potentially win a crown but the competition is really tough nowadays. They deserve to be recognized. Who knows anyone of these ladies could pull off a surprise win.

The Semi-Finalists

Muriel Orais, Sigrid Flores, Anjame Magbitang, Ahtisa Manalo and Wynona Buot. It is safe to put these girls in the semi-finalists but it doesn't necessarily mean that they are not worthy of a crown. These girls could potentially ruin the chances of the major front-runners and heavy favorites. These ladies are silently doing their best to winning any of the Bb. Pilipinas crowns.

The Runners-Up and Crown Contenders

Jehza Huelar is the most experienced in this batch having joined Bb. Pilipinas for consecutive years. After her runner-up finish in 2016, she's expected to win a crown the next year but fans were dismayed and disappointed seeing her crownless. She seems to have played her A-game well as she is now relaxed and more matured in terms of presenting herself. She could win the Philippines' second Miss Supranational or Miss Globe or the first Miss Intercontinental crown.

Kayesha Chua is an underrated binibini of the batch despite her beautiful facial features. She's a Kylie Verzosa look alike. She is safe to be one of the semi-finalists but her beauty screams a crown.

Sandra Lemonon has a sweet face and a magnetic smile. A head turner but looks like she's losing her energy, regardless, she still has a huge chance to win a crown or could be one of this year's runners-up.

Michelle Gumabao, on the fence's perspective, she looks plain but with proper styling she transformed into a goddess. She's really proving everyone that she's also great on stage. She is manifesting more to show beyond doubt that she's a crown worthy. She could be our first ever Miss Intercontinental.

Eva Patalinjug has a very stunning face and a porcelain skin. Her aura is as calm as gentle wind, but despite all these, she sometimes looks unprepared. However, should she be given a chance to answer a question she will definitely ace it. It's a no secret that she is a law student. She is also a mighty Miss International crown contender and a runner-up is as well the least that she could get.

Vickie Rushton has a charming face which could be her real strength. She sets the standard of beauty so high being the first one to go on stage. Her Mutya ng Pilipinas and Pinoy Big Brother experience polished her into a perfect lady not to mention her celebrity status. The Miss International crown really suits her beauty and charisma but should she not win a crown, a runner-up finish is the least a pageant fan could expect from her.

Bb. Pilipinas Universe Crown Contenders

Samantha Bernardo is undeniably gorgeous. She has a commanding walk and a body to die for. She looks like Miss International 2013 Bea Santiago and Miss Philippines Earth 2013 Angelee Delos Reyes at times, but Sam as fondly called has built her own castle to reign. Her strong pageant experience could really bring her to winning any of the crowns. It's either a Universe or Supranational crown for her.

Aya Abesamis, a daughter of a former Miss Universe runner-up who represented the Philippines. There's a double pressure on her shoulder now, that is to continue the legacy of her Mom winning the national title and to win her international pageant after. Many pageant pundits were saying that she is too raw to compete abroad, but she developed into a perfect and fine gem where she delivers a solid performance. Her consistency and continuous development are surely her bullet to winning the Bb. Pilipinas Universe or Intercontinental.

Karen Gallman, a Fil-Aussie lass who has roots from both Brisbane and Bohol. She has waited six long years for a perfect comeback. She is one of the pretty faces of this year's batch. She is considered to be a Kendall Jenner dead-ringer which could really be an advantage competing abroad. Karen is a sure threat to any of the crowns especially for the Bb. Pilipinas Universe crown. Should she be crowned a minor title, she can be our seventh Miss International or second Miss Globe.

Catriona Gray is a strong contender to any of the crowns. Her beauty is a breath of fresh air. She walks stunningly and has a regal confidence. She has shown great performances all throughout. It's really a no surprise should she win the top plum or any of the crowns, but she best suits for Universe, runner-up or Grand International.

Special Alternate - Bb. Pilipinas Universe

Ena Velasco,  a Doctor of Medicine who works as Post-Graduate Intern at the Adventist Medical Center Manila. A holistic advocate of health far and wide specially in the far-flung areas where health seems to be neglected. That alone can attest that she is worthy of a Bb. Pilipinas Universe crown. The Miss Universe Organisation is looking for an achiever who can speak both from the heart and mind. Therefore,  Ena is the one we need. Her commanding aura,  great catwalk skills,  and gift of gab will definitely bring her to winning the Miss Universe crown should she win the Bb. Pilipinas Universe title.
