City of San Fernando's bet sweeps the competition and captures the Mutia ti La Union 2018 title.


One of the highlights of the 168th Founding Anniversary of the Province of La Union was the coronation night of Mutia Ti La Union 2018 held at the Baywalk Poro Point, San Fernando City,  La Union.

Donnabelle Erno of San Fernando City was crowned Mutia Ti La Union 2018 after sealing the deal when she answered the question of Julia Barreto, "Anong mas importante, mahal ka o mahal mo? "

"Well for me it's important that I love the person because I know time will come [that] he will love me back not because I offered so much, not becuase I did everything [but] because one day he will realize that the one person doing the efforts for him is the one who can truly love him forever. If forever doesn't exist then for a lifetime."

She broke the six years winning streak of Agoo.



The spectacular finals glitzy staging, with the lights, props and LED screen showed the high caliber production of Mutia Ti La Union 2018.

Many spectators of each town were happy to see their representatives having their individual moments in the spotlight on the LED screen while sashaying their curvaceous body in the swimsuits and showing their poise and elegance in the evening gowns.




Each of the judges got to choose the candidates they will ask a question. The crowd was entertained on how the ladies showed their wit in acing the questions with grace under pressure. And after the nerve-wracking question and answer the results are:

The pageant was hosted by Luis Manzano and Alex Gonzaga with the special participation of Anne Curtis - Smith. Gerald Anderson was also present during the show as a guest. The judges were, Alvin Patrimonio, Julia Barreto, Gov. Imee Marcos, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, and Gabby Concepcion. Other notable celebrities who were at the venue: Pops Fernandez and Jasmin Curtis-Smith.

If it's a battle of wit and credentials, Jerelleen Rodriguez will easily snatch the main crown or any of the titles.

She will surely leave you at awe with what she has to offer. This lass from Nasugbu, Batangas is a Cum laude graduate with a degree in BS Business Administration and Accountancy from the UP Diliman and a Certified Public Accountant who placed sixth in the October 2013 CPA board licensure examination. She is also a Professor at the University of the Philippines - Diliman for the Department of Accounting and Finance while studying law at the UP College of Law.



Aside from all of these, she is also a member of the National Union of People’s Lawyers, a Chief Finance Officer, MGC Holdings, Inc., an angel investment hub and an education advocate.


Aren't these enough for her to win any of the crowns?

She only has not the gift of gab and wit but of beauty as well.

Igorota Queen's vying for the World

A 22 year-old Communication graduate from the University of Baguio hopes to be Miss World Philippines 2018.


Joemay Leo, an Igorota Queen from Tuba, Benguet made it to the official list of candidates of  this year's Miss World Philippines.

Leo doesn't have the drive in joining pageants when she was  younger not until she was chosen  to represent the high school department  for Miss University of Baguio 2011 which she later won. At 15, she had her first crown and the passion to join pageants was born where she reaped; Miss Tuba 2014, Miss Benguet 2014 first runner-up, Miss Baguio 2015 third runner-up and Miss Cordillera 2016.


She was an active student leader when she was still studying. In fact, she was awarded AY Foundation National Discipline awardee, JCI Youth Leadership Excellence awardee, Gerry Roxas Leadership awardee. Currently, she is serving as an SK Kagawad of her barangay.
