Miss Universe 2018 Pre-arrival Power Rankings

With at least over a week, the Miss Universe 2018 contestants will be arriving at the host country – Thailand, thus, we can't be more excited to present our pre-arrival power rankings.

Leading our first power ranking is the most talked-about and the controversial delegate for this year's pageant , Angela Ponce from Spain who made history for being the first trans woman to join the Miss Universe contest. Angela has received a lot of criticisms after winning the Miss Universe Spain pageant. Her eligibility to join the international contest for natural-born woman has been questioned. However, her being the talk of the town had surely captured the attention of the MUO thus, we believe she's being eyed for the crown.

Lagging behind is Puerto Rico's Kiara Ortega. 25 year-old Kiara works for an organization named Centro Inés which provides different educational and recreational  services for children and seniors to help develop a sense of independence, creativity and mastery of skills. If she arms her advocacy with a strong-solid performance during the preliminary activities, she'll ultimately be a force to be reckoned with.

Undeniably, this year's pageant will definitely give pageant aficionados a headache in selecting their bets. Placing third in our list is the heavy favorite Catriona Gray of the Philippines. After failing to clinch the elusive blue crown in Miss World, Catriona's comeback is stronger than ever. This time she'll attempt to win the fourth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines. She does not only have a pretty face, but also a kind-heart and advocacy driven mind. With her regal confidence, gift of gab and wit, it wouldn't be a surprise should she win the crown.

In fourth place is a pageant veteran from Ecuador, Virginia Limongi a 24-year-old model and nutrition student who previously competed in Miss World 2014 is also making an attempt to avenge her loss. This time, she's competing at the biggest and prestigious pageant in the Universe. She definitely  learned from her experiences four years ago and now she's making sure her that she'll be a hit come the pageant preliminary activities.

Rounding up our top five finalist is H'Hen Niê, a 25-year-old model who draws attention after winning the crown due to her hair style which attracted compliments from pageant pundits around the globe hence, placing her as their early bets. This lass has a story to tell thus, the chance of making it on top.
