25-year-old, actress and model, Teresita Ssen "Wynwyn" Marquez was crowned Reina HispanoAmericana 2017 held in Sta. Cruz Bolivia on November 4, 2017 making her the very first Filipina and the only Asian to win the crown. She was crowned by Maria Camila Soleibe from Colombia the last year's winner.



Wynwyn bested 26 other beauties in the competition which, celebrates the Hispanic heritage and culture.

She was asked how she would promote the Hispanic-American culture with the great difficulty or barrier of language, where she answered: “Language can be learned but the will and determination to contribute to the organization cannot. It has to come from the heart. It has to be natural. I believe that kindness is a universal language that if you treat people with tolerance, patience and love, you will understand each other. The Hispanic culture is not about language only. It’s about love for God, love for country, love for history and culture and love for family. As a Filipina with a unique heritage, I have instilled that. I am ready to promote the Hispanic culture not just in Asia but in the whole world. It is time to celebrate the Hispanic culture. It is meant to be celebrated."




Virreina Hispano Americana is Curacao, Brasil's bet is first runner-up, Venezuela second runner-up, Mexico and Bolivia were the third and fourth runners-up, respectively.



Completing the top ten finalists are, Chile, Cuba, Peru and Paraguay.

If it's a battle of wit and credentials, Jerelleen Rodriguez will easily snatch the main crown or any of the titles.

She will surely leave you at awe with what she has to offer. This lass from Nasugbu, Batangas is a Cum laude graduate with a degree in BS Business Administration and Accountancy from the UP Diliman and a Certified Public Accountant who placed sixth in the October 2013 CPA board licensure examination. She is also a Professor at the University of the Philippines - Diliman for the Department of Accounting and Finance while studying law at the UP College of Law.



Aside from all of these, she is also a member of the National Union of People’s Lawyers, a Chief Finance Officer, MGC Holdings, Inc., an angel investment hub and an education advocate.


Aren't these enough for her to win any of the crowns?

She only has not the gift of gab and wit but of beauty as well.
