Mexico wins its first Miss World crown


Miss World 2018 is Miss Mexico – Vanessa Ponce de Leon.

Vanessa, 26 year-old Vanessa holds a Degree in International Business and is currently on the Board of Directors of a Rehab centre for girls and volunteers for 'Migrantes en el Camino'. She works as a model as well and is speaking for the National Youth Institute. She began her modelling and pageant career in 2014 when she joined Mexico's Next Top Model and won the competition.


First runner-up is Thailand's Nicolene Limsnukan while the ladies from Uganda, Jamaica, and Belarus completed the five finalist.

If it's a battle of wit and credentials, Jerelleen Rodriguez will easily snatch the main crown or any of the titles.

She will surely leave you at awe with what she has to offer. This lass from Nasugbu, Batangas is a Cum laude graduate with a degree in BS Business Administration and Accountancy from the UP Diliman and a Certified Public Accountant who placed sixth in the October 2013 CPA board licensure examination. She is also a Professor at the University of the Philippines - Diliman for the Department of Accounting and Finance while studying law at the UP College of Law.



Aside from all of these, she is also a member of the National Union of People’s Lawyers, a Chief Finance Officer, MGC Holdings, Inc., an angel investment hub and an education advocate.


Aren't these enough for her to win any of the crowns?

She only has not the gift of gab and wit but of beauty as well.
